Bridge City Jazz Band
Club Ashfield has been the traditional venue for jazz in Sydney for over 10 years. Every Friday night at the Club we feature Sydney’s jazz scene with the Bridge City Jazz Band. With its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band to see, with a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday night taking the band up to a 7 piece. Each week the band varies from jazz musicians, to lead trumpets, piano players and drummers.
The style of jazz music varies from week to week, from swinging traditional jazz to jazz with a New Orleans flavour, The Bridge City Jazz Band is fantastic and offers a captivating presence. The Bridge City Jazz Band also features special celebrations such as Louis Armstrong’s 100th birthday celebration, and a Night at the Cotton Club” (a famous US jazz venue of the 1920’s/30’s) for birthday celebrations for prominent musicians.
